The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating the suspicious death of a child that took place in northwest Edmonton.

At approximately 2 p.m., on Oct. 10, 2026, police responded to the report of a sudden death of a two-year-old girl at a residence in the Castle Downs area.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the death, it was ruled suspicious, and the EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. Autopsy results are pending toxicology.
