BC all set for elections with parties claiming their victories
The British Columbians are all set to choose the next government in the province on Saturday. The Elections BC has said that the ballots will be counted manually.
The advance voting which has concluded saw a decline in the voting as a total of 891,348 voters voted out of the total 3,738,182 registered voters in the province.
The ruling BC NDP and BC Conservatives are seen to be the main contenders in the province while the BC Green party is also getting traction as some of the pre-poll results have suggested.
The leaders of both NDP and Conservatives have claimed the victories. The Conservative is targeting the NDP's economic policies, lack of health infrastructure and deteriorating public safety while the NDP is promising new development projects.
The voting will start at 8 am and end at 8 pm following which the results will be declared by Election BC.
