The BC NDP’s candidate in Langley-Willowbrook is Andrew Mercier.

A labour lawyer and former MLA and cabinet minister, Andrew has spent his career standing up for workers and protecting BC jobs. He has a proven record of advocating for what people in Langley need to build a good life, like expanded schools, new child care spaces, and the new Surrey-Langley Skytrain. 

“Working people in Langley and across BC are feeling the impacts of US tariffs right now, and they need a government that has their backs,” said Mercier. “The BC NDP team has a plan to support workers and businesses, grow new markets for B.C. products, and protect the services that people rely on.”

Andrew and the BC NDP team are focused on freeing the province’s economy from the United States, lowering everyday costs for people, and recruiting more healthcare workers to strengthen our care system. While the BC NDP stands up for BC, the conservative parties are aligning themselves with Trump and planning to cut services that people need. 

“Andrew has been a champion for the people of Langley and achieved so much for the region,” said David Eby, leader of the BC NDP. “I know he’ll be ready to jump in on day one and help support people against this unjust trade war.”
