A 51-year-old man is in custody after being arrested and charged for allegedly masturbating in a stairwell at Pacific Centre Mall.

 Security found a man in the stairway Wednesday at 8 p.m. and asked him to leave the premises, at which point he allegedly exposed himself.

Security called 911 and followed the man out of the mall until police arrived and made the arrest nearby.

 Robert Finlay MacLeod is facing one charge of performing an indecent act in public. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing. His next court appearance is September 17.
