Man dies in late-night crash in Kamloops
An investigation has been initiated to determine any criminality after a man died in a late-night crash.
On May 25, at approximately 11:50 p.m., a frontline Kamloops RCMP officer on patrol discovered a serious collision shortly after it occurred at the intersection of Tranquille Road and 12th Street. The crash involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The motorcycle driver, a 29-year-old Kamloops man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 41-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained on scene.
The investigation remains in the early stages and no charges have been laid.
“This is a stark and tragic reminder of the vulnerability of motorcyclists on our roadways,” said Superintendent Jeff Pelley of the Kamloops RCMP. “Sadly, incidents like this are all too common, and motorists are urged to be alert to motorcyclists.”
