Kamloops RCMP investigates hit and run
Late on May 11, Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to a pedestrian hit and run on Second Ave and Lansdown Street in Kamloops.
A man was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street and the vehicle failed to stop. The man was transported to hospital for treatment. Investigators obtained CCTV in the area and believe they have identified the vehicle and driver.
“We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter as we continue the investigation,” said Cpl. Brett Urano, RCMP spokesperson.
“We believe we have identified the driver, but if anyone has further information, please contact us and advise what you witnessed. Our investigators will continue their work to determine the exact cause of this incident," he added.
