Sidhu Moosewala Murder Case Hearing Held; Next Date Set for April 10
A court in Mansa in Punjab on Friday heard proceedings in the high-profile murder case of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, with 12 witnesses appearing before the court.
During the hearing, statements of the witnesses were recorded, bringing the total number of witnesses examined so far to around 15, according to the family’s lawyer Satinderpal Mittal.
Mittal said that statements of Moosewala’s friends who were present in the vehicle at the time of the attack had already been recorded earlier. However, the testimony of the singer’s father, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, is still pending.
Balkaur Singh did not appear in court during Friday’s hearing. The court has now directed that he, along with other witnesses, be present for the next hearing scheduled on April 10.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, near Jawaharke village in Mansa district, in a killing that sent shockwaves across the music industry and his fan base worldwide.
The case remains under trial as the court continues to record witness testimonies.
