Rapper Badshah booked in Haryana over new song
Bollywood singer and rapper Badshah has landed in controversy over his new Haryanvi song “Tateehri.” A case has been registered at the Sector-20 Cyber Police Station in Panchkula regarding the lyrics and video of the song.
The action was taken following a complaint filed by Abhay Chaudhary, a resident of Chandimandir. Along with the police case, the Haryana State Commission for Women has also taken notice of the alleged objectionable language used in the song. The commission has issued a summons to Badshah, and the matter will be heard on March 13 in Panipat.
According to the complaint, the song is rapidly going viral on social media, but some of its lyrics and visuals are allegedly obscene and disrespectful towards women. The complainant claimed that the song uses words such as “Tateehri” and shows girls in school uniforms in the video, which could negatively influence children and young viewers.
The complaint has demanded that the song be removed immediately and strict action be taken against the singer. Police have registered a case under various sections related to obscenity and the alleged derogatory portrayal of women and have assigned the investigation to Sub-Inspector Desraj.
