Burrard Street Bridge temporary vehicle closure this weekend
On Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, the Burrard St. Bridge will be temporarily closed to all vehicle traffic between 7 am and noon.
This morning closure is required to support the removal of a large crane at the Sen̓áḵw

Traffic impacts
Drivers: All vehicle lanes on the bridge deck will be closed. Plan an alternate route.
Cyclists: The east side bike lane will remain open for cyclists travelling northbound. Those travelling southbound will be required to dismount and walk their bikes along the east side sidewalk, or plan an alternate cycle route

Pedestrians: The east side sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians crossing the bridge.
If you are travelling in and around the area this weekend, including sport fans heading to Rugby Sevens at BC Place, plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey. VPD traffic control personnel will be on site to support the public throughout the closure.
