Ranjit Singh, who was one of the accused who allegedly killed two Punjab police personnel in Adhia village in Gurdaspur district was Wednesday killed in police encounter. The encounter, however, created a furore in the state where a section of people questioned the police action.

DIG (Border Range) Sandeep Goel said that police had already arrested Dilawar Singh who provided shelter to the other two accused including Ranjit Singh Inderjeet Singh.    

Two police personnel including an ASI and a Home Guards personnel were found dead outside the Adhia police post.
