Farmers, police clash in Bathinda

The farmers and police clashed in Bathinda Wednesday. The farmers were demanding the release of two persons who were lodged in the jail in connection with a case.

The police and the protesting farmers clashed after the police fired tear gas shells in Jeond village where the farmers were gathered to press for their demands.

The farmers alleged highhandedness by the police while the police refuted the allegations and justified the action.
