In another incident of lawlessness in Punjab, two unidentified gunmen shot dead a sarpanch in a wedding function. This is the second such incident in the state which is ploughed with gang wars and extortion related crimes. 

The victim was identified as Harvarinder Singh, who had gone to attend the wedding function in Sidhu Farms under Sarhali police station. While the victim was present in the wedding two unidentified gunmen also came to the marriage palace and shot dead the victim.
