A farmer in Bal Kalan village in Amritsar district lodged a complaint with the local police alleging that a caller, posing as a gangster demanded Rs. 1 crore extortion from him. 

Santazveer Singh, a resident of Bal Kalan village said that he received a call from a foreign number and the caller identified himself as Keshav Batala, a gangster and a close accomplice of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. 

The complaint is a farmer and also runs a dairy.
