SPS seeks public help to identify assault suspect

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an assault suspect.

At approximately 4:35 pm on February 6,  a female youth was walking eastbound on 100 Avenue in the area of 123a Street. A man approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her upper body. The victim managed to break free, and the suspect fled southbound on 123A  Street. The victim was uninjured as a result of the assault.

The suspect is described as an adult male, possibly White or Middle Eastern, approximately 5’ 10” tall, and was last seen wearing black sweatpants, black and white shoes, black hooded sweatshirt, black and grey plaid or checkered jacket (see attached photo).

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-12536 (SP).
