Human trafficking still a 'significant' crime

Human Trafficking remains a significant and often hidden crime that impacts communities across Canada. 

Last week, the RCMP'S BC unit  hosted the  Counter Human Trafficking Unit for a two‑day Interdiction for the Protection of Children (IPC) training program focused on Human Trafficking awareness and investigation. 

As many as 25  police officers from across our detachment took part in advanced training, including a powerful survivor‑led session. The RCMP officials said that they continue to prioritize ongoing awareness, enforcement, and support for those affected in our community.
