Punjab police launch 'Operation Prahaar 2.0'
Punjab police Monday launched 'Operation Prahar 2.0' to take action against the gangsters. The state police chief Gaurav Yadav said that in the second Phase of the operation a total of 12000 police personnel will be deployed in the state and a total of 2000 teams will be formed.
The operation will last 72 hours during which the police personnel will check the movement of the gangsters and their accomplices.
The DGP added that in the first phase of the operation, a total of 5000 gangsters or their accomplices were arrested by the police.
Punjab's law and order remained a cause of concern which prompted the police to take such steps.
