Four men were arrested last week by the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team in North Vancouver in connection with an ongoing investigation led by the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Section.
Investigators allege the suspects forcibly entered a residence and unlawfully confined a 45-year-old man inside a residence near Dollar Road and Dollarton Highway. Police believe the victim was specifically targeted.
The victim was safely rescued and sustained minor injuries. All four suspects remain in custody at this time.
Out of an abundance of precaution, a North Vancouver elementary school in the area was placed on lockdown procedures until the incident was resolved.
North Vancouver RCMP officers remain on scene to assist in the investigation.
