Punjab police's Counter Intelligence wing recovered 5 kg heroin and arrested four persons. The police said that the accused were operating from across the border and smuggling narcotics into the border state.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the smugglers were in direct touch with Pakistan based suppliers and the accused Sukchain Singh was planning to further distribute the drugs to the suppliers.
