Wild Elephant Kills Tourist in Thailand’s Khao Yai National Park
A 65-year tourist was killed in an attack by an elephant in Khao Yai national Park on Monday. Authorities confirmed it's a third fatility by the same elephant. The attack took place in the early morning while the victim was exercising near his tent. Earlier, a man was also trampled by the same animal.
Due to rising conflict between the human and animal, authorities are considering relocating the elephant.
Amid rising population of elephants in Thailand, since 2012 more than 220 civilians have been killed by wild elephants, which also leads to concerns about safety risks in national parks.
