An Iranian drone was shot down by US fighters Tuesday, while it approached the USS Abraham Lincoln, said a US military spokesman. 

It was reported that  the intent of the drone was clear and when it came closer, shot down immediately. During this, any US personnel and equipment remain unharmed.
This incident occurred amid ongoing high tensions between Tehran and Washington. US President Trump is emphasizing diplomatic solutions, keeping military options on one side, while Iran’s Supreme Leader announced that any action from the United States could trigger a war. Besides these tensions, the negotiations are scheduled between US and Iran later for this week, could be mediated by Turkey.
