DOJ Pulls Epstein Documents After Victims’ Identities Exposed
The US Department of Justice (DOJ) released millions of pages of Epstein Files Friday. According to a recent update, many documents were removed due to the exposed information of survivors.
Lawyers for the victims raised concerns that flawed redactions in recent releases included email addresses, nude photos, and names that could identify nearly 100 survivors, calling the release “outrageous” and “traumatizing.”
The DOJ stated that many documents were taken down due to technical or human error and it has to be reviewed for sensitive information. The victim's attorney claimed this release as one of the most severe violations of US privacy laws in history. As victims are getting threats after exposed private bank details in the released files. Although, DOJ redacted most victim information, survivors say many remain exposed, and efforts to safeguard identities are going on.
