Mann demands opening of Kartarpur Sahib corridor
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann Tuesday demanded opening of Kartarpur Sahib
corridor so that pilgrims can travel to Pakistan to pay obeisance at Nankana Sahib-the birth
place of first Sikh Master Guru Nanak Dev. Mann was paid obeisance at the Golden Temple on
the occasion of 556th birth anniversary Gurupurab.
Mann also took a dig at the union government and said that if both nations can play cricket then
why the corridor can not be opened.
“We are doing business across the Gujarat border and playing cricket but not opening the
corridor,” Mann said.
Punjab police Tuesday recovered a TV anchor who was allegedly kidnapped from his office in
Nayagaon area in Mohali district on November 4. The anchor Gurpiar Singh, who was allegedly
kidnapped was recovered by Faridkot police but the culprits who committed the crime,
managed to flee.
The motive of the kidnapping was not clear yet but a monetary dispute was said to be the
reason behind the crime. Gurpiar Singh is working for a Canada based channel.
