Chandigarh: Former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday visited the house of slain singer Sidhu Moosewala and attacked the Aam Aadmi Party government for his gruesome murder.
Blaming the AAP government for murder of Moosewala and deteriorating law and order situation, he said that assailants brought dangerous weapons in Punjab. It was a well-planned conspiracy and AAP government assisted the accused by leaking security pruning lists of Moosewala online and to media a few days before his murder.
Talking to media after meeting Moosewala’s parents, Navjot Sidhu said that AAP government has also pruned his security like they did to Moosewala before his death and said, “I am not afraid of death. Withdrawing my security will not silence me. The voice of truth cannot be suppressed by withdrawing the bullet proof vehicle. I will continue to raise my voice.”
Sidhu had reached Moosa village in Moosewala after coming out of jail. He held meeting with Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur for about two hours.
He said that gangsters are our own misguided youth, who are in captivity. They were used by nefarious politicians for their vested interests. The security of a star like Moosewala has been withdrawn, but the gangsters have been given Z plus security.
Lashing out at CM Mann for requesting Centre for security, “CM Sahib, I am a witness. When Charanjit Channi was CM, you said BSF has been called. Now you are bringing 50 companies yourself, tell me who is right?,” he questioned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
