Khargone: A major bus accident has occurred in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh and at least 22 people are reported to have died.
According to the information, the speeding bus going to Indore fell uncontrollably and fell down from the bridge. The incident took place near village Dasanga on Tuesday morning. Rescue operations are still going on with the help of villagers and people are being evacuated from the bus. The bus was going from Segaon in Khargone district to Indore.
According to the information received, about 40 people were in the bus. Many of them are seriously injured and are being treated in the hospital. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the incident and announced compensation.
The Chief Minister said that the families of those who died in the bus accident in Khargone will be given assistance of Rs 4 lakh.
The Madhya Pradesh government will provide Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured, Rs 25,000 to those with minor and minor injuries and proper treatment to those injured in accidents.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, “I have received the sad news of the bus accident in Khargone. The Chief Minister has directed to give assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and free treatment to all the injured.”
