Chandigarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Punjab Police, probing the Kotkapura police firing case, questioned former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal at his Sector-9 residence here.

The SIT headed by Additional Director General of Police L K Yadav grilled Badal for about three hours.

Parkash Singh Badal was the chief minister of Punjab when the Kotkapura police firing took place in 2015.

Members of the SIT, led by SSP Moga reached the local Batiwala Chowk to investigate the Kotkapura firing incident yesterday and made a search near the spot, but maintained complete distance from the media and continued the investigation.

The forensic team also conducted videography at the spot. Earlier, the SIT had questioned former deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in this case.
