New Delhi: Efforts are on to nab absconding head of Waris Punjab De and pro-Khalistan activist Amritpal Singh in Punjab. Meanwhile, his supporters allegedly attacked the Indian Embassy in San Francisco.

A group of people first reached there to protest and later they vandalised the place. Several videos, shot by the attackers themselves, showed miscreants smashing window panes of the consulate building with the Khalistan flag.

Significantly, on Sunday, pro-Khalistan separatists insulted the tricolor in Britain. India had summoned the most senior British diplomat in Delhi on Sunday night and raised questions about security.

In a strong statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had said that India has seen the uk government’s callousness to protect Indian diplomatic premises and personnel in the UK, which is unacceptable.

British Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott was summoned to the State Department in the wake of the incident as High Commissioner Alex Ellis is out of Delhi.

Significantly, the search for Amritpal Singh is going on. According to top government sources, Amritpal Singh is being extensively searched in Punjab since Saturday.

Hundreds of paramilitary personnel have spread in Punjab and internet has been banned in search of Amritpal Singh.

He was seen speeding away in a Mercedes SUV on Saturday in a viral video. However, Amritpal Singh later abandoned the car and rode the bike to dodge the police, authorities said.
