New Delhi: Some Khalistani supporters and Indians clashed carrying the national flag in their hands in Melbourne during referendum called by Sikh For Justice for the formation of an independent Sikh stateon Sunday. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms.
According to the information, five people were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital.
Australia Today tweeted that five people were injured in attacks by Pro-Khalistan supporters in Melbourne’s Federation Square. Two people were also detained by the police from the spot.
After the video went viral, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemned the anti-India activities by pro-Khalistani activities in Australia.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemned this incident and wrote on Twitter, “I strongly condemn anti India activities by pro Khalistani in Australia. Anti-social elements that are trying to disrupt the peace & harmony of the country with these activities, must be dealt with strongly and culprits must be brought to books.”
