Ontario: From the international level, when young people come to Canada to get the best experience of work and living, they in turn contribute to the country’s economy with their many skills. Similarly, Canadian youth also bring with them a variety of international experiences by working and traveling abroad.

Today, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced that the International Experience Canada (IEC) season has now opened up to international youth who have shown interest in gaining experience in working and traveling in Canada. Those who are already in the IEC pool will start getting invitations to apply for a work permit.

This year, Canada will give this opportunity to 90,000 international youth and the announcement in this regard was made on December 1, 2022. This expansion will help Canadian employers find workers who will be needed to meet the labor deficit across the country.
