Chandigarh: A 23-year-old woman from Banur, who went to Canada two months ago, died in a road accident. Komalpreet Kaur, a resident of ward number 8 of Banur, had gone to Canada to pursue higher education.
According to the information, Komalpreet Kaur was on her way to work with her friends in Brampton, Canada at 6.46 am (IST) when four vehicles collided.
The collision was so strong that all four vehicles were badly damaged in the mishap. Komalpreet died on the spot while one person was seriously injured in the incident. He has been admitted to a hospital in Brampton, local media reports said.
Two months ago, Komalpreet’s father Jodha Singh died of cancer. After that Komalpreet and her brother Didar Singh had gone to Canada for higher education.
Appeal to bring daughter’s body to India
Komalpreet’s mother has requested Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Centre to make arrangements to bring her daughter’s body home so that they can see her daughter for the last time and pay their last respects.
