Washington: Former Congresswoman and the first Hindu American Tulsi Gabbard announced to leave the Democratic Party, denouncing it as an “elitist cabal of war-mongers.”

Gabbard, 41,made the announcement in a nearly 30-minute video posted on her social media account.

Tulsi Gabbard has accused the Democratic Party of racism and said that she can no longer be a member of this party.

In a video posted on social media, she said, “I can not stay in today’s Democratic Party, which is inspired by war-mongers driven by cowardly wokeness. They incite every issue by making racist statements.”

Gabbard has further appealed to her fellow Democrats to join her and also asked her colleagues to leave the party.

However, she has not yet given any information about her new political plan or joining the Republican Party. Tulsi Gabbard was born in Hawaii, where she ran for the Hawaii State House at the age of 21. She had been associated with the Democratic Party for the last 20 years.

Criticizing the Democratic Party for undermining the basic freedoms of the people in the country, Gabbard said that she believes in a government that is for the people.

However, today’s Democratic Party does not stand by these values. Tulsi Gabbard was the first Hindu MP to run for president in the US Congress. Gabbard also served in the Field Medical Unit of the Air Force National Guard during the war in Iraq from 2004 to 2005 and was stationed in Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.
