Chandigarh: An FIR has been lodged against four people including an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Deep Kamboj, at Sriganganagar police station in Rajasthan after a woman complained of physical abuse.
The woman, a resident of Sriganganagar, alleged that she was physically abused by the said leader and his associates. They forced her for abortion when she became pregnant.
The woman alleged that she had come in contact with the leader for some work and Kamboj continued to exploit her on the pretext of getting work done.
Sriganganagar police have registered a case against Deep Kamboj, Vijay Kamboj, Smile Kamboj, Aman Kamboj under sections 376, 313, 506, 354 and 120B of the IPC. The woman held a press conference in Abohar on Thursday and levelled serious allegations like physical abuse against Deep Kamboj.
The woman said that she met him for the first time at Deep Kamboj’s office, after which he and his associates continued to physically abuse her on the pretext of getting her work done. Deep Kamboj sexually assaulted her in Sriganganagar and Chandigarh, the complainant alleged.
Reacting to the development, AAP leader Kamboj termed these allegations completely frivolous an said that the woman is the mastermind of the honeytrap and she had also trapped them in the honeytrap.
He said that the woman came in contact with him about 6 months ago. He kept talking and later fell into her trap and later extorted money from him. He claimed that the woman has been blackmailing her demanding more money and other expensive things and when he denied it, she had filed a bogus case against him and his associates.
