Toll workers have said that they will become unemployed if the tolls are closed. Farmers are being accused of arbitrariness, but all the toll counters have been occupied by the farmers. This has led to huge jams at the counter from Pathankot to Tanda and from Tanda to Pathankot.

Due to lack of full support from the police and a crisis of livelihood, toll workers have been lying in front of the vehicles present on the spot.

While farmers are talking about removing all vehicles without paying toll tax. Toll workers and farmers have been face to face for about 3 hours. Police have also resorted to baton charge, but the situation remains tense.
