Chandigarh: Former cabinet minister and Akali Dal leader Sucha Singh Langah, who was expelled from the panth after an objectionable video with a woman went viral, was pardoned on Friday.
The jathedars of the five Takhts announced the punishment after a meeting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. During this time, Thaminder Singh Anand, who is sitting abroad, has been expelled from the panth after publishing Sri Guru Granth Sahib online with mistakes. Also, Rajwant Singh, Bhajanik Singh admitted the mistake.
Langah will have to wash utensils for 21 days at Sri Darbar Sahib. “You will have to listen to Kirtan for 1 hour daily and also do 21 paths Japji Sahib. No photos of it will be posted on social media.”
