Chandigarh: After PSPCL disconnected electricity connections of schools due to non-payment of bills in eight government schools, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains said that he has written to powercom department to not disconnect the connections of such schools amid ongoing examination season.

He said that if the bill of any school has not been paid, then he will give it from his salary or from the pocket, but will not allow to disconnect connection of the schools in the future.

Responding to media query during his visit to Ludhiana today, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains said that he will take up this matter with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

He is here to inaugurate a two-day state-level games for differently-abled children were organized at Guru Nanak Stadium. Meanwhile, he said that for the first time, state level games are being organized for these children.

He said that the talent of these children will also come out at the same level, he encouraged the children.

He also claimed that no illegal mining is taking place in the state under AAP regime and the sand’s prices rised but it will be reduced soon.
