Umbergaon (Gujarat): Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday asserted that the winds of change is blowing in Gujarat and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will form a government with a landslide victory after collapsing the political fortress of the BJP, which has been in power for the past 27 years, in the upcoming assembly elections.

Addressing the gathering at a roadshow in Umbergaon, Gujarat, CM Mann said that roads were undated with people and they are showering immense love on AAP leaders, which is proof that the people of Gujarat are now ready to bring a change and form the AAP government with the record-breaking margin this time.

Taking a dig at opinion poll surveys, CM Mann said that the AAP party doesn’t appear in these surveys but directly forms government in the state. “We had not come in media’s exit polls in Punjab but formed a government after winning 92 seats out of 117. They are doing the same thing here but I am confident that the people of Gujarat are repeating the history of Delhi and Punjab.”

Bemoaning the ‘biased debates’, CM urged people to not watch such debates on the news channels after 8 pm and called them ‘toxic’. He said that the people of Gujarat are his news channels and they are promoting AAP on their social media handles.

He said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been running the government in Gujarat for 27 years in dearth of any substitute. The people were deprived of basic facilities like education and health. But now people are ready to teach a lesson to BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that Gujarat doesn’t need a double-engine government but it needs Kejriwal’s new engine for the inclusive development of the state.
