Washington D.C.: Former U-S president Donald Trump has surrendered at a Washington D.C. courthouse on charges that he plotted to overturn his 2020 election defeat.
Trump has been processed by law enforcement and entered a not guilty plea in front of a judge.
He’s charged with conspiracy to defraud the U-S and other crimes.
Trump is just blocks away from the Capitol building that his supporters stormed in 2021 to try to block the transfer of power to Democrat Joe Biden.
This is the third time Trump has been indicted following charges brought against him in Florida and New York. — Canadian Press
