Jalandhar: DCP Naresh Dogra was removed from the post of DCP Security and posted as AIG PAP. This news is coming when DCP was said to have reached an agreement on Friday after a dispute with AAP MLA Raman Arora.
It is to be noted that Naresh Dogra has been transferred after the altercation with the AAP MLA yesterday, however, after the reported scuffle, an agreement was reached between the AAP MLA and his supporters and DCP Naresh Dogra.
It is to be mentioned that after the video of the clash between the DCP rank officer and the AAP MLA over a property located in Shastri Market came to light, this matter became very serious.
In this video, pictures of DCP being beaten have also gone viral. In the video, it can be seen that the supporters of the MLA surrounded the DCP from all sides and they were sitting helplessly in the midst of all of them, there was also a scuffle.
The said incident took place at a private office located at Guru Nanak Mission Chowk. Jalandhar Commissionerate DCP Shastri reached the market to resolve the property dispute. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MLA arrived with their supporters from the other side.
During the first conversation, there was an argument between the DCP and the MLA, but later this argument turned into violence. On this occasion, neither Dogra nor any other top police officer stepped in front of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Earlier, it was being said that the Dogra used caste-indicative words and assaulted the people present. The news of registering a case under Section 307 and SC Act against Naresh Dogra in the above case was also gaining momentum. But after the video went viral, the pressure of AAP MLAs has come to light. He, however, was not booked in the case but was transferred by the Punjab police.
