New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has refused to grant bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia in a case related to the Delhi Excise Policy, which is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia of the Arvind Kejriwal government had challenged the lower court’s decision in the High Court.

Hearing the plea, the high court said the allegations against Sisodia were very serious in nature and the possibility of influencing witnesses on grant of bail cannot be ruled out. On this basis, the High Court rejected Sisodia’s bail plea.

The AAP had accused the police of misbehaving with Manish Sisodia ahead of the hearing in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam.

The Aam Aadmi Party had also released a purported video of a policeman misbehaving with Manish Sisodia at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court.
