Victoria: Premier David Eby raised the Pride flag in front of the legislature on Thursday, saying it was an important way to show support and love for the L-G-B-T-Q-plus community.
Eby says the community is increasingly under pressure of hate and division.
He called the latest where a Saanich Pride crosswalk was recently found defaced with black paint “disgusting.”
Eby says raising the Pride flag symbolizes a community that expects actions from the government and all British Columbians to stand with them proudly. — Canadian Press
