Gurdaspur: Another Congress MLA has come on the radar of Punjab Vigilance. Congress MLA from Gurdaspur Barindermeet Singh Pahra has been summoned by the Vigilance Bureau in connection with disproportionate assets.
Congress MLA Pahra today appeared before the Vigilance Office, Gurdaspur after being summoned by the Vigilance Department.
The MLA is accused of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by misusing his power in the Congress office. On the basis of this, the Vigilance has summoned him to file his reply.
Pertinently, recently a letter of the Vigilance Department had gone viral, under which the Vigilance Department had asked the banks for the records of the accounts of the MLA and his relatives.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau had recently sought information from the bank’s manager about the accounts of eight persons, including Congress MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra and his family. SSP Vigilance had also confirmed seeking information from the bank manager. After this, a letter of the Vigilance Bureau also went viral on social media.
