New Delhi: Counting of votes for the assembly elections is underway. Trends for all 224 seats have come and Congress has got a majority. Celebrations are being held in Congress offices across the country, including Delhi and Karnataka.
On the other hand, BJP has accepted its defeat. CM Bommai said that they could not reach the destination. At the same time, Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi said that if we win the elections, Bajrang Dal will be banned. He credited this victory to Rahul Gandhi’s Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
“The people of Karnataka have rejected the politics of hate. We have got the blessings of Bajrang Bali. We have got the blessings of all Sufi saints,” he said.
Polling for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly was held on May 10. However, the voter turnout in this election was 73.19 percent, which is 1% less than the 2018 election.
Talking about exit polls, the Congress got a majority in 4. In one survey, the BJP had predicted the formation of the government and 6 surveys claimed the Hung Assembly.
Meanwhile, Congress workers celebrated in front of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s convoy on the occasion of the party winning a majority in the Karnataka election.
