World: Coca-Cola and PepsiCo are facing boycotts in Muslim-majority countries due to being viewed as symbols of America and, by extension, Israel during the Israel-Hamas war. Local sodas like Cola Next in Pakistan and V7 in Egypt are gaining popularity as a result. Both companies have experienced a sales decline in the region, though their overall businesses remain large. Pepsi and Coke have responded by emphasizing their non-affiliation with the conflict. Despite the challenges, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo still view these markets as key growth areas.
