Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has invited all the ministers, MLAs and MPs of the state for dinner to the families. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be present on the occasion.
The dinner is being hosted at chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence in Chandigarh on May 31.
According to party sources, this dinner is being described as a family meeting program. This is the first time since 14-and-a-half months since the AAP government came to power in Punjab that party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are also attending.
The tussle between the Central government and the Delhi government over the appointments and transfers of officers in Delhi is increasing and the party’s entire focus is on Punjab.
Therefore, AAP has also called for a ‘maharally’ in Delhi on June 11 against the central government. It will be attended by a large number of party workers.
At the same time, municipal elections in Punjab are also approaching. Meanwhile, the AAP are attempting to bridge the gap between the MLAs and the government through such dinners.
