New Delhi: In the Excise Policy case of Delhi, the CBI has summoned the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He has been called for questioning on April 1. In this case, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is already in judicial custody in Tihar Jail.
Along with the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also investigating the liquor policy case. Arvind Kejriwal’s name is also in the ED chargesheet, but not as an accused. However, there has been no statement from Arvind Kejriwal about this.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh held a press conference regarding the summons sent to Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh said, “The central government is conspiring to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail, but we are not afraid. Kejriwal had fought against corruption by fasting for 13 days. This fight will continue.”
Sanjay Singh said, “The government is taking action against all kinds of harassment, has come down at every level. This action is only because Arvind Kejriwal exposed corruption in the Delhi Assembly. What is the excise policy, I had shown you how the ED is working and saying that the phones have been broken, while those phones are with the ED. It’s a bunch of lies, let alone that.”
In this case, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is currently in the custody of ED. He was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after eight hours of questioning. On March 6, the court sent Sisodia to 14-day judicial custody in Tihar Jail. Here the ED had questioned Sisodia in the money laundering case in the liquor policy from the former Deputy CM of Delhi, from the jail itself, the agency arrested Sisodia.
Sisodia’s bail plea was heard on Wednesday in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor scam. The ED concluded its argument and described Sisodia as the key conspirator in the entire case. Sisodia has played a key role in formulating and implementing the excise policy.
