CHANDIGARH: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Parkash Singh Badal, a veteran political stalwart and five-time Chief Minister of Punjab.
In his condolence message to his son and Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal president, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Capt Amarinder said he shared the family’s grief over this irreparable loss.
He said it was not only a loss to the family, but to the entire state and the country as a whole.
Capt Amarinder said Badal was a towering leader who commanded respect across the states and across the party lines. His absence will be felt for a long time and the void created will be difficult to be filled.
