On February 28 at 4pm, the nomination period for the 2025 Vancouver by-election closed with 13 candidates currently in the running for two recently vacated City councillor seats.
In alphabetical order by last name, the candidates are:

- Guy Dubé
- Colleen Hardwick
- Ralph Kaisers
- Charles Ling
- Karin Litzcke
- Lucy Maloney
- Gerry McGuire
- Sean Orr
- Annette Reilly
- Rollergirl
- Jaime Stein
This list of candidates is subject to change until March 7 at 4pm, which is the deadline for candidate nomination challenges, candidate withdrawals, and withdrawal of candidate endorsements by elector organizations.
Candidates, their agents, and media are welcome to attend the randomized draw for the ballot order on March 7 at 5pm in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
Eligible Vancouver residents can cast their ballots through the:
- Vote on Saturday, April 5 at 25 voting locations across the city.
- Vote in advance on March 26 or April 1 at Vancouver City Hall.
- Vote by mail. Packages can be requested through the City of Vancouver website.
