Ottawa: A hacking group called Indian Cyber Force is claiming responsibility for an attack on the Canadian Armed Forces website.

The military says its site wasn’t available to mobile users from midday yesterday, but was fixed within a few hours.

And various pages on the House of Commons website are loading slowly or incompletely due to an ongoing attack that started Monday morning.

Defence Minister Bill said it was a distributed denial-of-service attack. He said it unfortunately happens commonly.

According to him, officials swiftly responded to the cyberattacks. — With The Canadian Press
