Ottawa: Canada’s Immigration Minister Marc Miller says the federal government is looking at creating a recognized institutions framework which would fast-track study permits for educational institutions with high standards.

This comes as Marc Miller presented a new report on Tuesday that outlines the government’s priorities for improving the country’s immigration system.

The system has come under scrutiny as high numbers of newcomers have come to Canada – driving up population growth – putting pressure on the housing market. — The Canadian Press
