Fully vaccinated Canadians will soon be able to get a government document that will certify their COVID-19 vaccine history for the purpose of international travel.

Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino acknowledges that Canadians are looking to start travelling again.

He points out Canada has the best vaccination rate in the G-20.

Mendicino says the vaccine credentials will have a common design across all provinces, territories and Indigenous communities.

He says the document will include the holder’s vaccination history — including the type of vaccines, date and location.
