Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today said that a special team to be formed by the federal government to deal with the false information and propaganda being run by Russia across the globe.
Canada is imposing sanctions on 62 more Russian individuals and Russian military organizations amid Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.
The government said that several Russian federal governors and regional leaders are among those who have been sanctioned today.
The restrictions have also been imposed on the family members of these leaders.
The Prime Minister announced these new standards during a meeting of leaders of many prominent countries supporting Ukraine.
Trudeau joined the meeting via video conference from Toronto.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olf Scholz also expressed his inclinations to help Ukraine.
